In the U.S., Trump announced via social media that it will immediately impose 100% punitive tariffs on imports from European countries that levy digital services taxes on American tech firms, stating the measure takes precedence over existing U.S.-EU trade agreements, escalating trade frictions.

China’s Ministry of Commerce issued a preliminary anti-dumping ruling on unmodified pea starch from Canada, imposing a 73.5% provisional anti-dumping deposit on products under HS code 11081900 starting July 1.

Meanwhile, the EU has eliminated tariff exemptions for inbound parcels under €150 as of July 1, requiring all low-value shipments from non-EU regions to pay duties, further raising logistics costs for cross-border e-commerce sellers.
