Tariff Policies Change Rapidly – Pacifinex Keeps You Informed!

Last week, the global tariff environment remained characterized by high pressure and divergence.

On the US‑China front, the United States continued its Section 301 investigation and released a WTO reform report proposing to weaken or even abolish the most-favored-nation principle, pushing for differentiated tariffs. If implemented, this would reshape the global tariff system at an institutional level.

In addition, the U.S. Federal Communications Commission updated its “Covered List” to include all foreign-made routers, effectively creating import access barriers.

On India’s part, it plans to impose anti-dumping duties ranging from $386 to $1,071 per tonne on Chinese viscose filament yarn for up to five years, signaling intensified trade protectionism against China.

South Africa also imposed anti-dumping duties of up to 74.98% on various Chinese steel products, marking a clear escalation of trade restrictions.
