Recently, following COSCO Shipping, Maersk, and OOCL, another shipping company has issued an important statement warning against scams using its name.
On May 28, PIL (Pacific International Lines) issued an important statement: “Warning: Beware of Fraudulent Activities Using the Name of PIL (Pacific International Lines)”.

Dear Customers and Partners,
We have received reports that recently, lawless elements have unlawfully used the name, logo, and images of PIL (Pacific International Lines) without authorization to develop and promote a counterfeit mobile application called “PIL Multimodal Transport.” This fraudulent program claims to be affiliated with PIL and lures users by pretending to offer financial investment opportunities. Users may be deceived into downloading the app, registering personal information, and making payments, thus facing risks of identity theft and financial loss.
We hereby solemnly declare:
PIL has not developed or provided any investment products or services through any channel and has no connection or affiliation with this software or its developers/operators. This app illegally imitates elements of our genuine mobile app, PocketPIL!.
For any app or service not authorized by PIL, we shall not assume any responsibility for any damages, losses, or claims arising therefrom. Such fraudulent acts are beyond our control, and we reserve the right to take necessary legal actions to safeguard our legitimate rights and interests.
We advise you to exercise caution when using any app or service provided in the name of PIL and take the following measures:
Please verify that you are using PIL’s official app, PocketPIL!, ensuring the developer is Pacific International Lines Pte Ltd. and downloading it from Google Play or the Apple App Store.
Do not download or use any app claiming to provide investment or financial services related to PIL.
If you have downloaded or are using the counterfeit app, delete it immediately and report it on the relevant app store or platform.
If you have made payments or submitted sensitive information through the counterfeit app, contact your bank, payment institution, and local authorities for help immediately.
Note: PIL will never request sensitive personal or financial information through non-official platforms or third parties.
